BRUTTIUM. Kroton. Circa 530-500 BC. Stater (Silver, 28 mm, 7.67 g, 12 h). ϘΡΟ Tripod with legs ending in lion's feet, and with three handles and snakes rising from the bowl; cable border. Rev. Same type as the obverse, but incuse and without the legend; rayed border. Antike Kunst (1967), pl. 52, 450 (this coin). Gorini 2. HN Italy 2075. SNG ANS 233. Beautifully toned and boldly struck on good silver. Minor flan faults and with some light doubling on the reverse, otherwise, good very fine.
